MISSION

Black Apple Media works with the independent filmmaker to produce high quality short and feature-length films while maintaining a realistic budget. Based in Chicago, Illinois, Black Apple specializes in film marketing and distribution, seeking to bring these quality films to the Midwest and expand the local filmmaking community.

ABOUT BLACK APPLE MEDIA

Originally from Colorado, Angie Gaffney found her love for filmmaking after moving to Chicago in 2009. With seven years of theatrical production under her belt, Angie quickly took to creative producing, forming relationships across the state with professionals and production companies alike. Angie formed Black Apple Media in the fall of 2010 to create a local production resource for the independent filmmaker. Currently a student at DePaul University, Angie is working towards her Bachelor's degree in Digital Cinema, while continuing her passion for producing within the greater Chicago community.
